The Queen’s Jubilee weekend at the start of June was a very busy and eventful weekend for Sensation. Sensation performed at the Adur Festival in West Sussex, the Southridge RSPCA Centre in Hertfordshire, Carlton Towers in Yorkshire and a street party in Waterlooville in Hampshire. Each event was totally different from the next and a fantastic experience was had at each event that weekend.
The Adur Festival was hosted right next to the Shoreham-by-Sea beach and the weather held out for the evenings entertainment. The band performed alongside the Queen (a cardboard cut out) who got a lot of attention through out the evening. The crowd definitely knew how to celebrate and danced to the early hours of the morning.
Next stop was the fund raising night at the RSPCA Southridge Centre. The chairman of the RSPCA made a special visit down to Hertfordshire for the event and was very impressed with how fantastically the night went. All the funds raised will go towards helping the animals at the centre.
The band then drove up to Yorkshire for the Carlton Towers Festival event. The band had the pleasure of sharing the bill with some of the UK’s finest tribute acts and some of the UK’s best up and coming bands.
Lastly Sensation performed in Hampshire at a huge street party. The atmosphere was electric, this street sure knew how to party, the Queen herself would have been very proud of this event which the locals had put on. People came from all over the local area to celebrate in true ABBA style this momentus event. What a wonderful weekend!
